In conjunction with the African Writers Forum, there will be a launching of Valley of Lost Dreams by Dele Rufus Adeyemo. The venue is the Irish Writers Centre 19 Parnell Square Dublin from 2pm promptly. Pleas come early as there is limited seating and will be allocated on 1st comew 1st served. The event will take place 2nd of February 2pm-8pm 2001. Mr Adeyemo will be signing copies of his novel in the fair city’s centre. Free Entrance light refreshments will be provided. London based Lawyer to donate books
Barrister Shola Ben-Oyediji recently signified his intention to donate total of seventy-five books to be shared among the local government in Oyo State. He is also to present an extra five copies each to the University of Ibadan the Polytechnic Ibadan and Ladoke Akintola University Ogbomoso. Chief Oyediji made this known during a courtesy call made by executive members of the African Writers Forum in at his Tower Bridge Chambers in London recently. Chief Oyediji a former reporter with the Nigerian Tribune Newspaper and a member of Afenifere Europe, lamented the dearth of the reading culture in part due to the non availability of suitable books in thew country. The Books are to be presented to the Oyo state government during the launch of Valley Of Lost dreams by Dele Adeyemo in Ibadan early next year. Responding , Ms Roseline Ogunsanya Protem chairperson of the writers group thanked Mr Oyediji for his kind donation and urged other sons and daughters of Nigeria to emulate such gestures
