What They Have Said

This book is set in both Lagos and East London. It opens with a lot of Nigerian background then goes into the 'boy meets girl' routine but then skilfully changes course exploring complex situations. . The writer keeps the reader guessing as to what will happen next. The novel tries to take a positive look at the society at large and the characters, which are mostly either black or in mixed relationships. It is hard to fault the author's use of a prologue and epilogue, as their relevance shows later in the book. It offers hope & despair in equal measure.

"Valley Of Lost Dreams is a superb read". Trumpet Newspaper .

"This is a book from a new black publisher in the mould of X Press. Valley of Lost Dreams is a story of unfulfilled hopes, greed, lust, betrayal and tragedy, The main character Martin comes across as arrogant and aggressive but who is hopeless in love but perhaps more successful in other aspects of his tangled personal life. The novel is a cross between a love story and one suspects a real life tale. In Martin Adams, Adeyemo has created the quintessential African playboy of the nineties trapped by his own lustful caprices . Editor Omega Magazine.
